Hunting monsters and slaying dragons
Sitting in front of one’s game system for hours playing Monster Hunter 2 often gave many gamers (including myself) dreams of hunting down and slaying dragons and giant monsters with huge, oversized, and over compensating weapons (weapons like Cloud’s buster blade in Final Fantasy 7).
Well now those dreams can return with the promise of Monster Hunter 3.
In the Monster Hunter series it has been a big thing for players to move through inventories while moving and changing the camera as needed while still running from a giant dragon that is chasing you all around.
Monster Hunter Tri only improves on those abilities. The ability to move the camera with the Wii’s analog is a huge improvement from moving it with the D-pad.
The game also includes all new monsters; the only monsters that are returning are the Rathalos, Rathian, and Diablos. Capcom Production Studios has worked hard to create all new monsters for this installment, while the other installments were about refining what they already had.
In fact, Capcom did not stop with just the new monsters. Now we get a whole boat load of new weapons, armor, items, and locations. This installment is a new game when it comes to this franchise.
Another big thing they are adding in, and perhaps the most exciting thing, is the ability to play with another player on one console and to play with three other people online. Making it possible for up to four people to play together. Not to mention the online Monster Hunter is completely free.
Sadly Monster Hunter Tri will not come out till April 20th, but that is well worth the wait. Be sure to watch for this new game, because it could be one of the biggest new games for the Nintendo Wii. It does not look like it will disappoint fans of the Monster Hunter series.
