Restricting Cowley students from studying
Cowley students have struggled with a policy by which security allows after-hours access to specific rooms for students to work on aspects of their curriculum involving art, music and newspaper production. Out of necessity, students involved in these academic departments require access to pending projects, computers with specific software, musical instruments, atmospheric rehearsals and accommodating work environments.
For students involved in sculpting, Mike Fell, art instructor, said, “Most of the projects that the students work on cannot be done in a 90-minute time period window of twice a week.” Thus, students must spend extra time outside of their scheduled classes to work on art projects.
